IVF 4: Fert Report. Sweet Home Chicago

I am so glad to be on my way home today. I have missed my kitties enormously and I can't wait to be surrounded by purring furbabies and eat some homecooking.

IVF 4: CCRM
- 14 eggs retrieved, 6 mature, 3 fertilized
- 3 more matured overnight of which 1 fertilized
- Total: 4 frozen zygotes

IVF 3: CCRM
- 8 eggs retrieved, 4 mature, 4 fertilized
- 3 more matured overnight of which 2 fertilized
- Total: 5 frozen day-2 embryos

IVF 2: Local clinic
- 7 eggs retrieved, 1 mature, 1 barely fertilized (booooo!)

IVF 1: Local clinic
- 10 eggs retrieved, 6 mature, 5 fertilized

This is our highest egg number and lowest fertilization report ever. 4 more have been matured overnight in the lab. So we'll see what happens with those. We've always had close to 100% fertilization on our mature eggs so this is really a major loss for us in that way. Especially when we are working with a top lab.

Needless to say, we are disappointed in the dismal fertilization for day 1. Makes me very suspicious of the quality of those 3 that did fertilize. Since they freeze today, we won't know more about their true quality til we plan to transfer them. We only know that the melded with the sperm and that conception was taken place. When we transfer, they'll be thawed and encouraged to grow to a transferrable grade. At that point we'll see if any do grow til day 3.

At least we have some good ahead of us today. Home. I miss it so.

freeze-all for Spring FET
3/18: Plan for late spring FET
3/17: 4 total zygotes frozen on day 1 b4 cell division
3/17: late matured eggs are fertilized
3/16: 4 more matured in vitro
3/15: 14 eggs retrieved! 6 mature. 3 fertilized
3/07: One follie far ahead. Upping follistim to 450.
3/06: Cycle looking off. Leave for Denver. Ganirelix added back to stop ovulation due to one follicle growing too fast.
3/02: It's a go! 150 menopur; 300 follistim; dexamethasone
2/28: P4 too high... delayed one day
2/27: CD 1!!! Stop estrace + ganirelix
2/25: Drain endo cysts; add Ganirelix
2/24: Start Estrace twice daily
2/19: 6% morphology :-( rest good
2/14: LH Surge! Waiting for OK to cycle...
2/03: Dr. Sch recommends estrogen priming antagonist once a sperm sample comes back satisfactory (due to recent fever)
